Retribution

Arch-Angel Tyrael, from Diablo 2 and part of the storyline of Diablo 3.. there was a contest and I decided to enter with Tyrael.

Unfortunately half-way through "making up" his armor from tiny sprites and fuzzy cinematic images, I found the D3 concept art of his armor, and at least tried to make mine look more like it.

Got inspiration from the cinematic, Destruction's End, at the end of D2: LoD, instead of having lighting strike the pillars on either side of him, it strikes his sword instead and sets it on fire.

I did end up being 1 of the 2 winners, winning a blizzard world wide invitational card, that contained a beta key to access the WotLK beta, as well as a key to unlock a mini-tyrael. That along with a signed copy of an illustrative book "Swords: An Artist's Devotion" written and illustrated by Ben Boos, illustrator of some of the Diablo 2 artwork, who was also one of the judges.
